(You're Path To Healing).

Ever stop and just look at creation? Everything YHWH made; trees, flowers, animals, plants, they all thrive off two things: sunlight and water. That’s not by chance. That’s by design. But somehow, we’ve become the only part of creation that’s been taught to avoid the very things that were meant to keep us well.

Take the sun. We’ve been told to fear it. Stay inside. Cover up. But Ecclesiastes 11:7 says, “Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun.” And yet, many of us barely step outside. We’re tired, anxious, not sleeping well, and we don’t realize how much of that is because we’re not getting real light. The sun isn’t our enemy; it’s our greatest source of vitamin D, a life-giver YHWH placed right above us.

And water? We’ve swapped it out for energy drinks, sodas, and sweetened everything. Walk down a store aisle; it’s all fizz, sugar, dyes, and chemicals. It looks appealing, but it drains us. These drinks don’t hydrate; they rob the body. And more than 75% of adults in the U.S. are walking around dehydrated, foggy, and fatigued, trying to fix a problem with more caffeine.

It’s not just about what we drink, it’s what we eat too. YHWH gave us foods that actually do something: watermelon, cucumbers, berries, citrus; foods with real water, real minerals, and real healing. But what’s become normal? Processed, dry, salty, sugary stuff that fills but doesn’t nourish. We crave convenience, and we’re paying the price for it.

And we’re starting to see the effects; not just in ourselves, but in our children. Obesity, chronic illnesses, and ADHD diagnoses are rising. And while there are many causes, we can’t ignore that a big part of it starts with what’s going into their bodies. Artificial colors and preservatives are in so many of the foods marketed directly to kids, and some of those same ingredients are banned in other countries. We really are what we eat.

And now the very foods we used to trust; apples, spinach, lettuce, strawberries, tomatoes, keep getting recalled. Contaminated with bacteria, pesticides, heavy metals. That should tell us something. It’s time to go back to the basics. Even growing a pot of herbs on the windowsill or a tomato plant in the backyard makes a difference. When we grow it, we know it. And that alone brings peace.

What’s on shelves now? A lot of it isn’t even food anymore. It’s shelf-stable science. Genetically modified (GMO). Preserved. Empty. But we accept it because it’s everywhere. Yet Genesis 1:11 reminds us what He intended: “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed…” The seed is where life is, where healing is. Take away the seed, and you take away the future.

Psalm 104:14 says YHWH gave us herbs for our service. Not pills. Not synthetic vitamins. Herbs. Soil-grown, seed-bearing, healing food. It was meant to be that simple.

Most of us were never taught the Levitical dietary laws that were given to protect us; to keep our bodies clean and in order. If we followed them, so many health issues we see today wouldn’t even exist. It’s not about restriction it’s about restoration.

Fasting? It used to be a discipline. Now, it's a battle, because our food has been engineered to be addictive. Isaiah 58:6 says fasting breaks yokes. But how do you fast when food’s been designed to keep you bound? That’s not hunger, it’s bondage. And fasting breaks it. It brings us back to what’s real. What’s from Him.

And here’s what gets me: the same agency that approves our food also approves our medicine. Think about that. The same system that lets toxic food through is the one giving us the drugs to treat what that food causes. That’s not wellness, that’s a cycle. And they want us to stay in it.

Even animals suffer when we pull them out of their natural way. We confine them, medicate them, mess with their food, and then wonder why their health fails. Proverbs 12:10 says, The righteous regards the life of his animal, But the compassion of the wrong is cruelty.

We’re called to care for animals. That care should extend to our own bodies, too.

And history proves what nature can do. During the 1918 Spanish flu, people recovered faster when they were moved outside, into fresh air and direct sunlight. That wasn’t a coincidence. YHWH made the sun to heal.

Today? We’re being told to avoid it. Meanwhile, there are reports of sun-dimming projects, hazy skies, and filtered light. But Psalm 19:4-6 reminds us the sun still runs its course across the heavens; and nothing is hidden from its heat.

Here’s the deeper truth: The same Scriptures that speak of sunlight for the body also speak of the Son for the soul. The Messiah is called the “Sun of Righteousness,” Malachi 4:2 says, Unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings.”The sun brings warmth, light, life, and so does the Son. One heals the body. One heals the heart. Both were created to shine.

Healing is still here. But we have to choose it.

We don’t have to change everything overnight. But we do have to start.

Drink more water. Eat food that still grows from the ground. Fast when YHWH prompts you. Step into the sun. Get your hands in the soil. Read the labels. Return to what’s real. Pray like your life depends on it, because it does.

Because what we eat shapes how we feel. And how we feel shapes how we show up, how we think, and how connected we are to the Most High.
